Congress MP DK Suresh has said that all Karnataka MPs were going to resign in a big to stop the current political crisis in the state to spiral out of control. DK Suresh’s statement came moments after all Congress ministers in the state’s coalition government were invited for breakfast at the house of Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, who offered to resign if this helped save the government.
Suresh, according to news agency ANI, said, “BJP national leaders are behind this. BJP people don’t want this govt or any opposition party to rule in the state or in the country. They are destroying the democracy.”

Among those who attended the breakfast meeting at Parameshwara’s house were Karnataka Congress Legislature Party leader Siddharamaiah, Cabinet Ministers UT Khader, Shivashankara Reddy, Venkataramanappa, Jayamala, MB Patil, Krishna Byre Gowda, Rajshekar Patil, Rajshekar Patil and the party’s troubleshooter DK Shivakumar.
The state’s Congress-JDS government has come under crisis after 11 MLAs belonging to both parties decided to submit their resignations from the Karnataka Assembly before leaving for Mumbai.
Karnataka Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar was not present in his office when the rebel MLAs reached there to submit their resignations last week. Kumar had said that he will examine the letters on Tuesday.
Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy was in the US when the crisis hit his government. He cut down his trip and reached Bengaluru on Sunday evening.
