Ever since Kapil Sharma had the infamous brawl inside a flight from Australia, he has been surrounded with all sorts of negative publicity.
The news of drunk Sharma allegedly beating up his co-star, Sunil Grover, earned him unending condemnation both from his fans and neutral TV fans.
A hurt Grover then announced he was quitting the show while taunting Sharma for behaving like God.
Grover was soon joined by Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar, who too chose to boycott Kapil Sharma Show.
Amidst reports that Sharma was unable to find celebs and suitable replacements for his former colleagues, the Sony TV on Tuesday posted a cryptic tweet announcing that the show was going to have a new entry.
It said, “Koi aa raha hai Kapil ke mohalle mein apni kalakari ka dhamaka karne. Stay tuned to know what’s going to happen in Kapil Sharma Show?”

This gave rise to all sorts of rumours on whether Grover was indeed returning to the show even though Grover had reiterated to Mumbai Mirror that reports of his returning were wrong.
Shrivastava has confirmed to NDTV that he will indeed be appearing on the show. “Yes, I have started shooting for this show. The channel and the team are happy with the episodes I have shot for them and have called me for more episodes,” he said.
