Veteran actor Prakash Raj has come out in the open with his support for Kamal Haasan for his comments on Hindu terror in India.

In a Twitter post the outspoken actor wrote, “To whomsoever it may concern. If abusing and manhandling young couples on the streets of my country in the name of morality is not terrorizing.. If taking law into hands and lynching people on slightest doubt of cow slaughter cow slaughter is not terrorizing.. If trolling with abuse, threat.. to silence even a slightest voice of dissent is not terrorizing.. Then what is terrorizing..#justasking.”

The caption of his tweet read, “If instilling fear in the name of religion..culture..morality is not terrorizing..than what is it ..#justasking”

Raj’s defence for Haasan came after the latter was slapped with a case for his remarks that the right-wing Hindu groups could no longer deny the existence of Hindu terror.

A case was filed against Haasan on Friday under IPC sec 500, 511, 298, 295(a) & 505(c) over his remark on Hindu terror adding that the matter will be heard tomorrow.

Writing in a Tamil weekly news magazine, the popular star said, “The right wing cannot challenge talk of Hindu terrorists because terror has spread into their camp as well. In the past, Hindu, right-wing groups would not indulge in violence. They would hold a dialogue with opponents. But now they resort to violence.”

Haasan added, “Hindus are losing faith in ‘satyameva jayate‘ and instead subscribing to ‘might is right’.”

BJP leader Vinay Katiyar had called Haasan a mentally unstable person.

“His mental state is unstable. He should be getting treated in a hospital. Politics of such defamatory nature is not okay. He doesn’t have any proof,” Katiyar was quoted by India Today.
