Great Noida Robbery: Police recover 13 kg gold biscuits, Rs. 57 lakh cash; ‘Supreme Court lawyer’ Kislay Pandey issues statement named by cops

In a sensational development, the Noida Police recently recovered Rs. 57 lakh cash, property papers worth Rs. 1 crore and 13.09 kgs of gold biscuits from a flat in a housing society. The development has gained prominence after cops named one Kislay Pandey, who describes himself as a Supreme Court lawyer, in the case. Pandey, for his part, has issued a statement denying all allegations.

According to reports, a large amount of gold, property documents and cash were stolen from a flat in Silver City housing society in Noida. However, the Noida Police managed to arrest six people involved in the robbery and recovered gold biscuits, documents and cash worth Rs. 8.25 crores.

Speaking to the media, DCP Noida said, “During the interrogation (with arrested accused), we found that at 10 people had committed the robbery in a flat in Silver City in Greater Noida in September 2020. They distributed the stolen goods among themselves and were living happily. However, we came to know about the theft after a disagreement over the distribution of stolen goods.”

The DCP also said that one Kislay Pandey and his father. “It’s said that both are lawyers by profession but we can’t confirm that. But there are many pending cases against both father and son in Delhi and Gurgaon.”

The Noida Police said that both Kislay and his father were not in India at the moment, adding that investigating officers would seek to obtain more details about the pending criminal cases in Delhi and Gurgaon against the Pndeys.



Meanwhile, Kislay Pandey, whose Twitter bio describes him a Supreme Court lawyer, has issued a statement on the microblogging site denying all the allegations. He said, “It is definitely and concocted smear campaign against me by the accused scamsters who have eaten the public money on the largest possible scales.”



The police are on the lookout for the four remaining accused. Meanwhile, Kislay Pandey’s caretaker and driver are missing.
