FSSAI Results 2019: Food Safety and Standards Authority of India also known as FSSAI will soon announce results for managerial Posts, technical officer and other jobs on the official website of FSSAI – fssai.gov.in.

FSSAI Results 2019

The FSSAI had conducted the recruitment exams for 275 posts including technical officers, central food safety officer and other vacancies on 24th, 25th, 26th July 2019.

How to check your FSSAI results 2019

  •     Visit the official website.i.e.fssai.gov.in.
  •     Click on FSSAI Result 2019 available on the official website.
  •     Enter the required credentials and click on the submit button.
  •     Then, the result will be displayed.
  •     Candidates can download and take a printout of the result for future reference

About FSSAI

As per Section 5 of the FSS Act, 2006, the Food Authority shall consist of a Chairperson and the following twenty-two members out of which one-third shall be women, namely:-

(a) seven Members, not below the rank of a Joint Secretary to the Government of India, to be appointed by the Central Government, to respectively represent the Ministries or Departments of the Central Government dealing with –

  • Agriculture,
  • Commerce,
  • Consumer Affairs,
  • Food Processing,
  • Health,
  • Legislative Affairs,
  • Small Scale Industries,

who shall be Members ex officio;

(b) two representatives from food industry of which one shall be from small scale industries;

(c) two representatives from consumer organisations;

(d) three eminent food technologists or scientists;

(e) five members to be appointed by rotation every three years, one each in seriatim from the Zones as specified in the First Schedule to represent the States and the Union territories;

(f) two persons to represent farmers’ organisations;

(g) one person to represent retailers’ organisations.

Objective

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and State Food Authorities are jointly responsible for implementation & enforcement of FSSA, 2006. The details are provided Section 29 of FSS Act, 2006.

The enforcement of the FSSAI Act is undertaken on the basis of surveillance, monitoring, inspection and random sampling of food products carried out by the Officials of Food Safety Departments.
