The Delhi High Court has passed an interim order and directed the Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung to consider proposals sent by the Aam Aadmi Party led Delhi government.

The HC also stated that if LG Jung is not satisfied with the proposals, he can send it back to the Council of Ministers. HC has even asked Central government to file a detailed affidavit on how previous governments were taking their decisions.

Commenting on the Delhi HC observations, senior lawyer HS Phoolka said, “Court has issued the notice on petition of Delhi Govt challenging MHA notification.”

“Court directed Central Govt to file reply and also file affidavit on how posting of officers is governed in other UTs,” Phoolka added.
