Wednesday’s raids were being carried out in search of RSS Pracharak Praveen, whose video of hurling country made bombs at Nedumangad police station during the state-wide bandh had gone viral last week. In the video, the RSS worker was seen hurling bombs at the police station.

The BJP-backed bandh over the issue of women’s entry into Sabarimala temple last week had seen several incidents of bomb blasts in Nedumangadu last week. RSS worker Praveen was the main accused in the bomb blasts case. Police had recovered knives and daggers from his room, but they have failed to arrest him till date.

Police were tipped off about Praveen taking asylum in the RSS office. Wednesday’s chilling discovery has conclusively established the dangerous plan of the RSS and the BJP in creating unrest in India to gain power.

Journalist Nikhil Waghle asked, “Can we call them Hindutva terrorists?” One Twitter user wrote, “Nothing new. Terrorism in their DNA.” Another user wrote, “Bajrang dal killed Subodh Singh on duty #bulandshahar. RSS hurling bombs on a police station. If policeman is on danger/getting killed, how could an ordinary citizen feels safe ? Hardcore Hindu organizations doing it on broad daylight. Do @rajnathsingh are sleeping ??”

The RSS and the BJP have been accused in the recent past of resorting to terrorist activities in Kerala and West Bengal in a bid to unsettle the popularly elected non-BJP governments in both the states.
