17 Class 10 girls drugged, molested by school principal Yogesh in Muzaffarnagar school, one cop suspended

In a shocking incident, 17 girls studying in Class 10 in Muzaffarnagar have alleged that they were drugged and molested by their school principal, identified as one Yogesh, along with his associate. The alleged incident took place on 18 November. The Muzaffarnagar Police have suspended one cop for dereliction of duty.

According to reports, 17 girls were asked by Yogesh to stay in their school overnight to prepare for their practical examination, which was to be held in another school in the same vicinity.

The girls made khichdi for dinner but Yogesh expressed his displeasure saying that it was not properly cooked. The principal himself reportedly prepared khichdi but the girls allegedly lost consciousness after eating the meal prepared by Yogesh.

They alleged that there were more than 30 students in their class but only girls were asked to stay overnight to prepare for the practical exam.

In a statement, the Muzaffarnagar Police said that they had formed several teams including one from the Crime Branch to arrest the accused. Muzaffarnagar Police chief Abhishek Yadav said, “We’ve also removed the local station in charge for the dereliction of duty and are investigating if other cops too should face a similar fate.”

According to the victims, the police only filed the complaint after the local MLA intervened.
