कन्नड़ के मशहूर अभिनेता और स्टार पुनीत राजकुमार का शुक्रवार (29 अक्टूबर) को हार्ट अटैक के बाद निधन हो गया। वो 46 साल के था। हार्ट अटैक के बाद राजकुमार को इलाज के लिए आज सुबह बेंगलुरु के विक्रम अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया गया, लेकिन उन्हें नहीं बचाया जा सका।
कर्नाटक के मंत्री डॉ सीएन अश्वथनारायण ने अभिनेता पुनीत राजकुमार के निधन की पुष्टि की और शोक व्यक्त किया।

इससे पहले समाचार एजेंसी ANI ने विक्रम अस्पताल के डॉ रंगनाथ नायक के हवाले से अपनी रिपोर्ट में बताया था कि, “अभिनेता पुनीत राजकुमार को सुबह 11.30 बजे सीने में दर्द के बाद भर्ती कराया गया था। उनका इलाज करने की हम पूरी कोशिश कर रहे हैं। उनकी हालत गंभीर बनी हुई है। अभी कुछ कहा नहीं जा सकता। अस्पताल लाए जाने पर उनकी हालत खराब थी, आईसीयू में इलाज चल रहा था।”
पुनीत राजकुमार को फैंस की ओर से अप्पु बुलाया जाता है। वो मशहूर अभिनेता राजकुमार और Parvathamma के बेटे हैं। उन्होंने 29 से ज्यादा कन्नड़ फिल्मों में काम किया है। उन्होंने अपने करियर की शुरुआत बतौर चाइल्ड आर्टिस्ट की थी और बेस्ट चाइल्ड आर्टिस्ट का नेशनल फिल्म अवॉर्ड से भी नवाजे जा चुके हैं। साल 1985 में उन्होंने फिल्म ‘Bettada Hoovu’ के लिए बेस्ट चाइल्ड आर्टिस्ट का नैशनल फिल्म अवॉर्ड जीता था।
