Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married in Itali’s Lake Como on Wednesday in a traditional Konkani ceremony. The couple is likely to solemnise their wedding following Sindhi custom on Thursday. But, social media users have been eagerly waiting for the wedding photos to emerge. Those holding their breath in anticipation of the wedding photos of the Padmaavat stars is Union Minister Smriti Irani.

Irani, Union Minister for Textiles in the central government, took to her Instagram page to express her own frustration when she posted a photo of a skeleton. Her post read, “#when you have waited for #deepveer #wedding #pics for too longgggg.”

Her post evoked plenty of reactions from her fans. While some agreed that they too were anxiously waiting to see Deepika-Ranveer wedding photos, others slammed her for paying attention to her job as a minister than bothering about the wedding of two celebrities. One user wrote, “The same thing happens with the farmer of this country while waiting for your so called Acche Din.” Another user wrote, “Really I feel the same.” “You are a minister. You should also work for a change,” commented another. One follower wrote, “Just the way we are waiting for achche din.”

Irani herself was a part of the Indian entertainment industry before entering politics. Her leader and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to bring achche din (good times) for if he was voted to run the country. Critics say that his term as prime minister has caused considerable damage to Indian economy in particualr and social harmony in general.

Both Ranveer and Deepika have reportedly taken their no-photo policy too seriously as not a single photo from the wedding venue has been officially posted by either of them.
