Popular actress Saumya Tandon on Monday returned to TV series Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain with a huge surprise as she took to Instagram to make the much-awaited announcement. She told her fans in a dramatic fashion that she had resumed to the shooting for Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain after her prolonged maternity leave.
Before she went live on Instagram, she informed on the photo-sharing platform that she was going to make a big announcement in the evening. She wrote, “It’s about some new beginnings and some happy endings. Let’s talk today evening, keep an eye will be there live on insta between 8 to 9pm . Seeya soon.”
In the evening, during her live session, Saumya appeared on the screen to say, “Surprise, surprise, surprise. As I had promised, now the surprise is about to be revealed. Guess where I am.” It was at this point when her costars playing the characters of Tika, Malkhan and Tillu appeared with other star cast and began to sing, “Tum Aaye to Aaya Mujhe Yaad Gali Main Chand Nikla.”
Dressed in a pink attire, Saumya said that her fans repeatedly asked her when she was making a comeback on the popular show. Thanking them for their support, the popular actress said that she was unable to give a definitive time for her return on the show and, therefore, wanted to give them a surprise.
Another surprise announcement was that Saumya had brought her new-born son Miraan to the sets of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. She said that the baby was being taken care of in her vanity van as she spoke to her fans during the live session.
Saumya gave birth to her son in January this year. Her show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain will complete 1100 episodes. During her maternity leave, the show courted huge controversy as the Election Commission sent its producers a legal notice for violating the Model Code of Conduct by incorporating political advertisements in favour of the BJP in its story line.
Earlier this year, Saumya was hailed as a real life hero after she refused to accept money from Cobrapost website’s reporters to campaign for a political party by using her social media pages.
