Union Minister Babul Supriyo on Tuesday took his inhumane behaviour to a new level when he threatened to break the leg of a differently abled man because the latter’s constant fidgeting was causing him distraction at a function.
Speaking at a function, organised to donate wheelchairs and other equipment for the differently abled persons, the motro-mouth minister lost his cool as he chose to stop his speech to issue a chilling threat.
In the video posted by news agency ANI, Supriyo is heard saying, “What happened brother? Do you have any problem? I can break your one leg and then give you a crutch. Go and stand in the corner.”

He did not stop here and continued to speak to the differently abled man in an intimidating tone while asking him to get up and stand in a corner. He then told his security men to make sure he did not move from his position.
“Next time if he moves again, break his leg and I will give him a crutch,” Supriyo is heard telling his security personnel in the video.
This is not the first time the MP from Asansol has made insensitive comments. In March this year, Supriyo, a singer-turned-politician, had threatened to ‘rip off’ his constituent’s skin after he joined the protest against him in his own constituency Asansol in the wake of a communal flare up.
After the programme on Tuesday, Supriyo tweeted the photos of the event with a caption, “Delighted to have attended the Samajik Adhikarita Shivir organized by ALIMCO at Nazrul Manch, Asansol today to distribute aids and assistive devices to the Divyangjan (specially-abled people) under the ADIP scheme.” But, he chose to show no sign of remorse of his seemingly distasteful behaviour.
