There were ugly scenes inside the Zee News studio on Saturday after a fight broke out between BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia and Samajwadi Party’s Anurag Bhadoria during a debate show.
The video, now gone viral, shows Bhatia and Bhadoria engaged in a heated discussion before the SP spokesperson pushes him away. This prompts Bhatia to charge at Bhadoria, who gets a cover by other pannelists. There are reports that the Noida Police later detained Bhadoria on a complaint filed by Bhatia. Bhatia took to Twitter to allege that Bhadoria had ‘manhandled’ him.
He wrote, “Today while participating in a debate on @ZeeNewsHindi #YehKyaKehtaHaiIndia Anurag Bhadoria SP spokesperson physically man handled me. I could have done the same but as a law abiding citizen, I have given a complaint against him and law will take its own course now. (sic)”

Bhatia was with the Samajwadi Party before he quit his party to join the BJP. Indian TV channels have come under immense scrutiny for its rapidly falling standards of news debates with channels being accused by critics on social media of promoting violence to boost TRPs.
