Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik on Sunday took to social media to write ‘truth prevails’ after an independent NCB witness alleged pay off of Rs. 8 crore to Sameer Wankhede, the anti-drug agency’s zonal director. Wankhede has denied allegations saying that he would give a ‘fitting reply’ soon.
Malik, who’s been relentlessly exposing the dirty nexus between the NCB and the BJP in the Aryan Khan’s arrest case, wrote in Hindi, “Satya Hi Jitega, Satyamev Jayate (Truth will win, truth prevails).”

Malik had recently raised questions on Sameer Wankhede’s mysterious trips to the Maldives and Dubai. “Attempts were made to implicate certain people in false cases. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the entire film industry was in the Maldives. What was the officer and his family doing in the Maldives and Dubai? This has to be clarified by Sameer Wankhede. We are very clear. All this ‘vasuli’ (extortion) took place in Maldives and Dubai and I will release those photos,” Malik was quoted by Hindustan Times.
The Maharashtra minister had also shared photos from the Instagram account of Sameer Wankhede’s sister, Jasmeen Wankhede, showing the duo’s photos from inside Grand Hyatt hotel in Dubai. While Wankhede said that the photos were from the lounge of the Mumbai airport, his sister had claimed that they were from Dubai. Jasmeen Wankhede had later threatened to take legal action against Nawab Malik.
The Aryan Khan’s arrest case has taken a shocking twist after NCB witness Prabhakar Sail claimed that he was made to sign blank pages by one KP Gosavi, whose selfie with Aryan Khan had gone viral. Sail said that he worked as a personal bodyguard of Gosavi, who’s since been on the run after the Maharashtra Police issued a lookout notice against him.
Sail had also alleged the exchange of money to the tune of Rs. 18 crore in the case, adding that Rs. 8 crore was meant to be piad to Sameer Wankhede.
