This is Janhvi’s the second successive film with Karan after her debut film Dhadak crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. With more than Rs 100 crore business, Dhadak  became the most successful film with newcomers, surpassing the boss office performance of Karan’s previous venture with newcomers, Student Of The Year. Incidentally, Alia had made her debut in Hindi films with Student Of The Year. Janhvi and Alia will now be sharing the screen space together in Takht.

Alia went on to carve a niche for herself in Bollywood and has become one of the most successful stars in the industry. An excited Alia tweeted, “Back where I begun.. to my roots! So excited to be a part of this historical magnum opus ‘Takht’! Directed by the one and only Karan Johar.”

Janhvi too posted the promotional image of the film on Instagram, but little did she realise that she will become a subject of nasty trolling. Many fans slammed for not tagging Ali Bhatt in her Instagram post. Even though, Janhvi appeared to tag Alia later, this wasn’t enough to pacify some angry supporters of Raazi actress.

One fan Rohan Anand wrote, “You are the most disgusting person jhanvi you didn’t tagged alia and you think it’s funny.” Another wrote, “All superstars except you @janhvikapoor and you think by keeping alia’s name in the last you will look cool.” “you could have messaged this @janhvikapoor rather than making fun of Alia’s name and this janhvi is jealous of alia.” comemnted another fan.
