Janhvi Kapoor on Sunday took to Instagram to remember her legendary mother Sridevi on her first death anniversary. The Dhadak star posted a faceless photo with her mother with an incredibly emotional caption.

Her short caption read, “My heart will always be heavy. But I’ll always be smiling because it has you in it.” In the black and white photo, Janhvi is seen holding the hands of her mother.

Her post made her fans and several Bollywood stars emotional and left them teary-eyed with many asking her to stay strong while appreciating her incredible loss. Filmmaker Karan Johar wrote, “Love you.” Janhvi’s debut film Dhadak was made under Karan’s Dharma Productions, while her second film Takht will also be under the same banner. Her cousin Sonam Kapoor commented, “Love you sweety.”

One fan wrote, “Brave daughters don’t cry they live with a smile to make their parent proud.” Another fan commented, “Be strong… her blessings always with u my dear.”

Sridevi had died in February last year in a hotel in Dubai, where she had travelled to take part in a family wedding. Her tragic death had stunned her fans in India and around the world. Janhvi was not with her since she was busy completing her film Dhadak, which went on to become a hugely successful film.

Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor, Boney Kapoor’s children from his first wife Mona Kapoor, had displayed incredible love towards their half half-sisters. Janhvi’s younger sister Khushi, who was with Sridevi when she died in Dubai, had broken down at the premiere of Dhadak last year, while missing their Mom.

A former IPS Officer in Delhi had sensationally alleged that the legendary actor’s death may not have been due to accidental drowning. Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police in Delhi Police, Ved Bhushan, had alleged that Sridevi may have been murdered.
