Kedarnath continues to be jinxed for Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. The film, which was meant to launch Sara appears to have into a rough weather once again.

If a report by DNA is anything to go by, the Abhishek Kapoor-directed project may not the debut film for Sara. Instead, it looks like Rohit Shetty’s Simbba will be released before Kedarnath.

That’s because the makers of Kerdarnath had decided against releasing the film in November, as scheduled earlier. They are wary of a clash with 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. This may hit the theatres across the country on 30 November.

This is not the first time Kedarnath, which has Sushant Singh Rajput opposite Sara, has been in news for all sorts of wrong reasons. This May, the film gained unprecedented media publicity after it emerged that Kapoor had sued Sara for Rs 5 crore because of her decision to sign Simmba, which is joint production between Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar.

It had taken Dad Saif’s intervention to have the legal issue resolved outside the court.  This was not all. Midway through the shooting, the film’s producer changed.

Kapoor’s production house was originally making the movie with KriArj Entertainment, but they parted ways. Later, Ronnie Screwvala and his creative production house RSVP joined hands with Kapoor.

The first schedule of the shooting was completed in June, when the Rohit and company released the first look of the film. In the poster, Ranveer’s lean look in moustache had left his fans utterly mesmerised with many comparing the actor to Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.

Meanwhile, Rohit has just returned from Argentina after shooting for a TV reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi.

The DNA report said, “Rohit, who was in Argentina for Khatron Ke Khiladi, has arrived in Mumbai and will begin the next schedule today. The film should wrap up by mid-October because it is being readied for a year-end release.”
