In a shocking twist in the Moriah Wilson murder case, it is now suspected that her alleged killer, Kaitlin Armstrong, may have drastically changed her appearance and may be using a burner phone to stay in touch with family members and friends. Armstrong is wanted in the case related to Wilson’s murder case.
US federal agencies have launched a massive hunt for Armstrong, who they believe may have murdered an athlete from Vermont. Wilson was a 25-year-old professional cyclist Moriah, who was found dead in Austin, Texas, on 11 May when she went swimming with Armstrong’s boyfriend, fellow cyclist Colin Strickland.
Private investigator Jason Jensen told the US Sun that Armstrong may have drastically changed her appearance to hide her identity from the police. She is suspected to be hiding in a rural or remote area.
Jensen suspected that Armstrong may be using a facemask while out and about to avoid being detected by the investigating agencies. She’s not expected to be planning her next murder and, instead, may be trying her best to avoid her arrest knowing that her days are numbered.
Kaitlin removed all her social media pages including Facebook and Instagram. The social media page of the company that Kaitlin ran with her partner Colin Strickland too has disappeared from Instagram.
According to the authorities, Kaitlin split with her boyfriend Colin in October last year. Colin then met Moriah and both fell in love. He, however, later split with Moriah too and returned to Kaitlin’s life.

After Moriah’s death became public knowledge, Colin issued a statement to a local media outlet in Austin saying that he had a weeklong fling with the victim before it turned into a platonic and professional relationship.
Investigators are exploring the revenge angle in Wilson’s murder. Kaitlin may have developed jealousy after her ex-partner got romantically involved with Wilson. According to the Austin Police, Kaitlin was ‘furious and was shaking in anger’ after learning about Colin’s fling with Wilson.
