Former Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha’s analogy of ‘some kinds of ego hassle’ between India Today’s Rajdeep Sardesai and Rahul Kanwal during a TV debate on infighting in the Punjab unit of the Congress party has left netizens in splits. The said TV debate was to discuss the infighting between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in Punjab. But Jha’s analogy, used with utmost seriousness, left everyone in splits.
Speaking on the topic, Jha said, “I hope (Congress spokesperson) Pawan (Khera) will convey this to Mr. (Rahul) Gandhi and others in the Congress. Supposing that Rajdeep and you (Kanwal) have some kinds of ego hassle. (India Today Chairman) Aroon Purie does not have to appoint a committee putting Shiv Aroor, Gaurav (Sawant) and five others to investigate what your problems are. (He will) get you guys together, talk over a beer. If not beer somebody is non-alcoholic, chat over…” Kanwal interrupted to say, “Lassi, lassi. Let’s stick to lassi.”
India Today’s Shiv Aroor shared the video with laughter emojis as he wrote, “@JhaSanjay on Congress approach to Sidhu/Amarinder spat.”

Jha’s analogy left netizens in splits with some even highlighting Rajdeep Sardesai’s facial expression as the former spokesperson put across his point..
He’s unintentionally funny, if only things would be so simple to be sorted out over a glass of beer or lassi. https://t.co/OwFvK6SNHD

The Punjab unit of the Congress party has been plagued with infighting ahead of the next year’s assembly polls. Former Punjab minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu, was expected to meet Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday but the former Congress president reportedly said that he had no scheduled meeting with the cricketer-turned-politician. Meanwhile, AICC in-charge of Punjab, Harish Rawat has said that all was well with his party. “Rahul Ji recently met many leaders from Punjab, anybody can meet him. I wanted to meet Sidhu Ji (Navjot Singh Sidhu) but his mother-in-law is unwell. Everything is under control in our house (party),” Rawat was quoted by news agency ANI as saying.
