Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has continued to heap embarrassment on NCB officer Sameer Wankhede by claiming that he travelled to Dubai and Maldives. In more trouble for Sameer Wankhede, even his NCB colleague has admitted to Malik’s claims that the controversial officer visited the Maldives. As for Wankhede’s Dubai trip, an NCB officer said that the former had not submitted any application for his Dubai visit.

Malik had shared photos from the Instagram account of Sameer Wankhede’s sister, Jasmeen Wankhede, saying that the man in one of the photos seated in Grand Hyatt in Dubai was the controversial NCB officer.

Sharing the photos, Nawab Malik wrote, “Sameer Wankhede claims he never went to Dubai post joining the service. This photo has revealed the truth and exposed his lie. Sameer Wankhede was at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai on 10th December 2020.”

In another post, Malik wrote, “Sameer Wankhade has accepted the fact that he had visited Maldives but he denies the visit to Dubai. Here is the proof of his visit to Dubai with his sister. Sameer Wankhade was at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai on 10th December 2020. His lie stands exposed.”

Sameer Wankhede said that photos showing him seated in a five-star setting were taken from the Mumbai Airport even though his sister had claimed that they were clicked at Grand Hyatt hotel in Dubai.

Wankhede was quoted as saying, “Those are photos from Mumbai. I was in Mumbai. Sacchai ko koi cheez ki aanch nahi. Find out where I was, get data from the airport. Get everything verified through my passport and visa.”

Malik had alleged that the reason behind Wankhede’s presence in the Maldives was to extort money from Bollywood stars, who were also there during the COVID lockdown in India.

NCB DDG Ashok Mutha Jain said that ‘there was no application from Sameer Wankhede for going to Dubai. “He sought permission for going to the Maldives with his family,” Jain said.
