The Delhi Metro authorities were left red-faced after videos of a monkey travelling in one of the trains went viral on social media. Faced with embarrassment, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation was forced to issue a statement.
In one video, the monkey in question could be seen having a field day, performing pole dance before grabbing a seat next to a fellow passenger.
According to news agency ANI, the DMRC said, “Monkey was spotted around 4:45 pm as the train moved from Yamuna Bank to IP & moved away on its own by the time it was brought to DMRC’s notice. No harm caused to anyone & it wasn’t spotted thereafter in metro premises”
But the development left netizens amused as they shared the video on Twitter.
