In a remarkable development, Mira Rajput has thrown her weight behind actress Tanushree Dutta on her allegations of being sexually harassed by Nana Patekar and Vivek Agnihotri. Mira’s support came just days after Tanushree sensationally called Shahid ‘soulless’ and ‘conscience-less.’

Taking to Instagram, Mira wrote using hashtags #IBelieveinTanushree and #HerToo, “This is my voice and my opinion on something I feel very strongly about- I’ve tried really hard to edit it and ensure it’s well written and diplomatic but it’s just not happening. So here’s the heart that I wear on my sleeve writing the words I feel for real…”
She went on to write, “I believe Tanushree- I feel like there’s something we are missing here. A point that we fail to acknowledge and own up to. Where were all the women when this was happening?”

Mira’s words of support for Tanushree Dutta assumes incredible significance in light of what Tanushree had told reporters while recalling her nasty experience 10 years ago. She had slammed Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and Rajinikanth calling them ‘soulless’ and ‘conscience-less’ for not refusing to work with Patekar and choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who also worked on Horn Ok Pleassss.
According to Tanushree Dutta, she was sexually harassed by Patekar and when she refused to oblige his indecent proposal, she was attacked allegedly by MNS goons, who also attacked her car with her parents inside.

On Thursday, a lawyer, Gaurav Gulati, filed a formal complaint with the National Commission for Women asking the women’s panel to launch a detailed probe into Tanushree’s allegations. Tanushree, meanwhile, has said that she had been slapped with two legal notices by Patekar and Vivek Agnihotri, who directed Chocolate.
Tanushree had said that Agnihotri had allegedly asked her to strip and dance before actor Irrfan Khan. Agnihotri has not reacted to this allegation.
