Former singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been a bitter man for last several years particularly after he went jobless as a playback singer as the young talents overshadowed him.
This prompted the once popular Bollywood singer to resort to cheap attacks as he also sought refuge behind the propaganda of fake nationalism. His frustration led him to make his joblessness a communal issue as he often sharpened his knife against Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Not too long ago, he had slammed singer Arijit Singh for ‘begging’ to Salman Khan to include his track in Sultan. Seemingly angry by the singer’s past misbehaviour, Salman had reportedly preferred the song Jag Ghumeya in Sultan, sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan while rejecting the version sung by Arijit.
Earlier this week, Abhijeet had mocked Shah Rukh Khan saying that he was a star only because he sang for him and his stardom vanished after he stopped singing for him. He had told India Today, ”
“I made superstars with my voice. Till the time I sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. When I stopped singing for him – and I stopped singing for him – he came down to Lungi Dance.”
Now the controversial former singer has targeted Salman, accusing him of biases towards Pakistani singers.
“Why does Salman Khan only get Pakistani singers to sing songs in his films? Are Indian singers not good enough to sing in his movie? Pakistani artists need to be restricted from working in the Indian film industry. One one side these Pakistani’s are killing our soldiers and on the other side Salman is hellbent on giving opportunities to Pakistani talent only,” the singer was quoted by Hindustan.
The popelar track Dil Diya Gallan in Tiger Zinda Hai wwas sung by Atif Aslam. But, Atif also sang for Shahid Kapoor in the recently released Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
