Mira Rajput recently stunned her actor husband, Shahid Kapoor, by expressing her inability to hold the Karwa Chauth fast for his long life due to her love for food. In a bold confession, Mira said that whilst she loved her husband, she also could not stay without food.
Karwa Chauth is an annual Hindu tradition whereby wives hold fast, praying for the long life of their husbands. As part of the ritual, a wife is only expected to break her fast after sighting the moon.
Mira took to Instagram to write, “Baby, I love you but I also love food. To our forever threesome. Happy Karwa Chauth, Shahid Kapoor.”
Mira promised to try observing the fast next year as she wrote, “Will try again next year and I wish you good health and happiness always. Muah.”
Mira Rajput, who has 2.4 million followers on Instagram, was in the news recently after activists slammed her for allegedly making fun of a mental health disorder. This was after Mira wore a new shirt which she likened to having a ‘split personality’ because of its two different colours. Enraged by Mira’s alleged flippancy, fans began to incessantly troll her with some advising her to receive ‘proper education rather than marrying a celebrity.’
