Lucky Ali death hoax: Nafisa Ali says singer is fine with family in Bengaluru

Amidst reports claiming that singer Lucky Ali has passed away due to COVID-19 complications, former model-politician, Nafisa Ali, has clarified that the singer was fine and there was no truth to the rumours.

Nafisa Alia, a close friend of Lucky Ali, tweeted, “Lucky is totally well and we were chatting this afternoon. He is on his farm with his family . No Covid . In good health.”



Last year, a video of Lucky Ali singing one of his old chartbusters had gone viral. What had made Twitterati emotional was the unrecognisable look of Lucky Ali, who’s now 62 years old. Among those reacting to the video was actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Eijaz Khan. Many were left heartbroken by the fact that the music legend was aging and was worried about death.

At one point, Lucky Ali had stopped singing as he gets emotional as he reaches a line talking about death. The lines were Nazaron se ab na hamako giraana, mar bhee gae toh, bhool na jaana. (Don’t think less of me and don’t forget me even when I am dead).” However, Lucky stops singing as he finds himself unable to complete the line. He recomposes himself and resumes singing by skipping the emotional line with a smile on his face.

Lucky Ali has often travelled to Goa in the past to meet his friend Nafisa Ali. In one such video, the popular singer from the 90s was seen recreating his old magic in Goa with a group of his fans and well-wishers.
