Remember singer Lucky Ali, whose track O Sanam in the 90s became a chartbuster song in India and abroad. A new video of the famous singer giving a soulful rendition of that track has gone viral on social media, leaving netizens nostalgic. What has made Twitterati emotional is the unrecognisable look of Lucky Ali, who’s now a 62 years old. Among those reacting to the video was Bigg Boss contestant Eijaz Khan. Many were left heartbroken by the fact that the music legend was aging and was worried about death.
In the video, Lucky Ali is seen recreating the magic of the 90s while playing the guitar. One Twitter user wrote, “His voice is just a pure medicine to our degenerated brains suffering from today’s remixed songs. #luckyali.” Another commented, “Here is a man who stayed consistent with his specialty and at 62 he is as yet unadulterated gold. #luckyali. So much sentimentality tuning in to this.”
A tweet from Eijaz Khan’s official handle, currently managed by his team read, “Lots of Love to our favourite #luckyali.” He ended the tweet with a red heart emoji.

At one point, Lucky Ali stops singing as he gets emotional as he reaches a line talking about death. The lines were Nazaron se ab na hamako giraana, mar bhee gae toh, bhool na jaana. (Don’t think less of me and don’t forget me even when I am dead).” However, Lucky stops singing as he finds himself unable to complete the line. He recomposes himself and resumes singing by skipping the emotional line with a smile on his face.
Left emotional by Lucky Ali’s video, his fans also urged Kapil Sharma to invite the legendary singer on The Kapil Sharma Show.
Lucky Ali gave his voice to many popular chartbusters namely O Sanam, Safarnama, Teri Yaadein Aati Hain, Tere Mere Sath Jo Hota Hai and Kitni Haseen Zindagi among others. He also acted in the Bollywood film Sur, where he played the character of a music teacher.
