The tragic death of popular actor Puneeth Rajkumar has left fans and colleagues stunned. The 46-year-old actor died after suffering a heart attack. He was taken to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru in an unresponsive condition on Friday morning.
News agency ANI tweeted, “Actor Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted after suffering chest pain at 11.30 am. Trying our best to treat him. His condition is serious. Can’t say anything as of now. His condition was bad when brought to hospital, treatment on in ICU: Dr Ranganath Nayak, Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru.”
News agency PTI reported that Rajkumar reportedly complained of chest pain following which he was rushed to the hospital.

Rajkumar began his career in the lead role with film Appu in 2002. The film became a huge commercial hit. His fans later began to fondly call him Appu. He acted in as many as 29 films including Mourya, Arasu, Raam and Anjani Putra.
He is survived by his wife Ashwini Revanth and two children. His elder brother, Shiva Rajkumar, is also a very popular actor.
