IAS topper Tina Dabi has had to face nasty attacks from her attacks for her decision to marry fellow civil servant Dr. Pradeep Gawande. Faced with incessant trolling, both Tina and Pradeep had to briefly deactivate their Instagram accounts. While Tina returned to Instagram, Pradeep has continued to stay away from the Meta-owned social media platform. While they never explained the reason behind deactivating their Instagram accounts, the return of ugly attacks faced by Tina and her second husband amply highlights the discomfort that the IAS couple may have faced in the aftermath of their marriage in April. Some of her critics are now using the engagement of Tina’s first husband, Athar Aamir Khan, with Dr. Mehreen Qazi as a tool to taunt the IAS topper.
Tina recently took charge of Jaisalmer as the District Collector and District Magistrate, while her husband was shifted to Udaipur in a new role. Both were earlier posted in Jaipur. The recent transfer order means that both Tina and Pradeep would be separated by a distance of nearly 500 kms.
Just before their transfers, Tina had shared a series of photos of their honeymoon in Goa. Sharing the photos, Tina had written, “Becoming one with the waves 🌊.”
While an overwhelming majority of her followers congratulated her on her new life with Pradeep, some began to pass ugly comments by mocking the age gap between her and her second husband. Pradeep is 13 years older than Tina and senior to her in the profession by three years. One user wrote mockingly, “Lucky uncle man in the world.” Another commented, “Yrr dabi tina kya dekha ise is se better deserve karte the tum.”
“With your uncle @dabi_tina ?? @atharaamirkhan you have got better,” wrote another user in a bid to humiliate Tina. One user wrote, “Two old couple 😂, tina u proof that money and post is everything in life, doesnt matter he is old or young.”
Then there were others who taunted her by asking if she was aware of Athar’s engagement with Dr. Mehreen Qazi recently.

Tina was the All India topper in the UPSC exam in 2016, while Athar had secured All India Rank 2 the same year. Both fell in love during the training and got married in 2018. However, two years after their marriage, both decided to file for a divorce, which was granted in 2021. Athar, who was also posted in Jaipur, decided to return to her native city of Srinagar, while Tina stunned everyone by announcing her second marriage with Pradeep, who too was posted with the Rajasthan government.
A few days later, Athar too announced his second engagement with Mehreen, who hold an MD degree in medicine.
