IAS Topper Tina Dabi on Friday announced that she had been conferred with the President’s Gold Medal for ‘First in Order of Merit’ in her batch. She was presented with the medal at the annual Valediction Ceremony at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie in Uttarakhand on Friday.

She took to her social media page to post the photo of her medal and news with her fans. Tina, the UPSC topper in 2016, wrote a profound message thanking her family and husband Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan, who had secured All India 2nd ranking in the UPSC exams in the same year.

Tina wrote, “I am delighted to have received the President’s Gold Medal for First in Order of Merit in my batch at the Valediction Ceremony held today, after two years of Training. I dedicate this Gold Medal to my family and my Husband without whom achieving this feat would not have been possible. Thank you for everything. For supporting and loving me, and helping me in securing first rank again!”

Soon her fans, more than 1.5 lakhs on her Instagram page, began to congratulate her with many even predicting Tina to be the future Union Home Secretary. One fan, Sid Shukla, wrote, “Future home secretary.” User Adarsh wrote, “Ma’am I’m serious you are born to top!! Hard work always pays off.” Another fan wrote, “U r such an inspiration mam.”

Tina has been creating quite of lot of buzz on social media since her announcement to marry fellow topper Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan. Both had flown to London earlier this month to complete their final leg of IAS training programme before taking charge of their respective cadres as civil servants. Tina in particular kept her fans, nearly 1.5 lakh of them, abreast of her goings on from the British capital. While in London, she also made it a point to shut up a troll, who criticised her for enjoying a foreign trip at the expense of taspayers’ money.

Tina returned to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, to complete the last few days of her stay there. On Thursday, the affable IAS topper had posted a series of photos and videos of their cultural performance at the LBSNAA to mark the culmination of their training programme. The photos included Tina and and Aamir, attired in red printed south Indian lungi and white shirts. The couple had reportedly performed a lungi dance number to a Telugu song.
