India on Thursday thrashed England by 50 runs in the first T20 International of the series. The hero of the match was Hardik Pandya, who finished with a four-wicket haul after scoring a brilliant half-century.
Battin first, India had made 198-8 in 20 overs. Hardik Pandya made 33-ball 51 runs.
England were bowled out for 148 in 19.3 overs. Moeen Ali was the top scorer with 38 runs from 20 balls. The rest of the English batsmen simply collapsed before a devastating Indian attack.
Aside from Hardik Pandya’s four-wicket hail, debutant Arshdeep Singh also impressed everyone by claiming two wickets in his first match for India.
