Dramatic twist in Aryan Khan’s arrest case as airports alerted about man, who took viral selfie with Shah Rukh Khan’s son after detention

In a dramatic twist, the Maharashtra Police has alerted airports across India about the man, who had famously clicked a viral selfie with Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan after the latter was taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Identified as Kiran P Gosavi, the man was seen entering the NCB office on the night Aryan and seven others were brought from a Goa-bound ship.

Airport alerts against Gosavi have been issued in a 2018 cheating case registered with the Pune Police. The complainant against Gosavi is one Chinmay Deshmukh, who has accused the former of cheating him to the tune of over three lakh rupees.

“We have issued a lookout circular notice against KP Gosavi, who has been absconding in a 2018 cheating case registered against him with the Faraskhana police station,” news agency PTI quoted Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta as saying.

The presence of Gosavi and BJP functionary Manish Bhanushali at the NCB office had triggered a huge controversy with Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik accusing the anti-drug agency of colluding with the Hindutva party to frame Shah Rukh Khan’s son.

Malik on Wednesday last week had sensationally claimed that the next target was Shah Rukh Khan after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested the actor’s son Aryan in a drug case. Terming the arrest of Aryan as ‘forgery,’ Malik had questioned the credibility of the NCB raid on the Cordelia Cruise ship on 2 October, alleging that it had not followed the due procedure as per the NDPS Act, and two non-NCB persons’ involvement in what he said was a fake operation.

According to Malik, the NCB’s next target was Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood star, who previously criticised the Narendra Modi government for the rise in religious intolerance against minorities in India.
