Billionaire industrialist Ratan Tata on Wednesday made a surprising debut on Instagram with a word of caution on whether his presence on the photo-sharing platform was going to ‘breaking the internet.’ Going by the early response, Chairman of Tata Trusts and Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons has indeed managed to break the internet. Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor are the first three Bollywood stars to start ‘following’ Ratan Tata on Instagram.

Meeting you in person is one of my best Memories which I cherish forever? what a Gem of a Person.” User Vi Kiran wrote, “Always Respect and High Regard for you always Sir.” “Instagram will be delighted to have you on the platform,” wrote user Saurabh.
Ratan Tata is not following anyone on Instagram. The bio of his verified Instagram account reads, “I made it to the ‘Gram! Chairman, Tata Trusts. Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons.”
He later updated his Insta story to thank his followers as he wrote, “I am truly touched by the welcome that the Instagram community has shown me today. I have been through many of your wholesome comments and wishes, and today has been heartwarming. I hope I can contribute to this wonderful community in the very same way. I hope our paths cross and thank you once again.”
