Ali was waiting at a signal when a speeding car rammed into him from behind, pushing his car to collide with a truck in front. A visibly shaken actor later told ToI that he was lucky to have escaped the accident. He also thanked the police for rescuing him in time and arresting the man who hit his car.

He said that he was driving the car and was waiting at the signal when he suddenly felt a loud thud. “And the next thing I realised, my car went ahead and hit a truck parked in front,” he said.

According to him, the accident left his car completely damaged.

“The car bonnet opened and I had a lucky escape. By God’s grace nothing happened. I dread to think what would have happened had it been a moving car or if there were people walking. Why this rash driving? I am shaken after this,” Ali was quoted as saying.

He added, “Thankfully there were police around. A crowd gathered and the police came for help. They took care of everything and also took the guy who rammed into my car.”
