In a dramatic development, bhajan singer Anup Jalota and Saba Khan were booted out of the Bigg Boss season 12 on Sunday night. Host Salman Khan made the announcement, to the utter surprise of other housemates. Jalota became the second celebrity after Neha Pendse to leave the show.
Jalota was eliminated from the show earlier, but he was not sent home and instead asked to move in to an adjacent house, from where he could keep an eye on the goings on in the main house.
Sunday saw two evictions as Salman had already announced on Saturday that two contestants will have to leave the show tonight. Salman dropped the bombshell to Saba Khan, Srishty Rode and Surbhi Rana that one of them too will be celebrating Diwali with her family. This came as a shock to them. Saba broke down in tears when Salman said she had to leave the show.
There are also reports that Neha Pendse, who became the first celebrity contestant to be voted out of the show, may enter the house as a wild card entrant.
On Sunday, Salman also explained to Deepak Thakur that being the captain of the house was a big responsibility and he should not take his captaincy lightly.
The Bigg Boss season 12 had taken an unexpected twist within the first three weeks of its launch after Jalota had abruptly announced that he was snapping his relationship with his girlfriend Jasleen Matharu.
Anup Jalota and Jasleen had stunned by publicly confessing that they had been in a romantic relationship for last three years. Jalota has been Jasleen’s music teacher. Reacting to the news, Jasleen’s father had said that his friends had been taunting at him with some even suggesting him to carry out honour killing of his daughter.
