AR Rahman reacts after Adnan Sami’s daughter Medina ‘FaceTimes’ music maestro in London

Oscar-winning music maestro AR Rahman on Monday reacted to singer Adnan Sami’s 1-17-month-old daughter calling him in London on FaceTime.

This was after Adnan told his followers on Twitter that it was time to use passwords on his telephone since his daughter had called Rahman on FaceTime while he was busy recording a song for his next film 2.0.

Adnan wrote, “Haha!! Ok… Time to put passwords on all phones & ipads etc… My Little Medina took my phone & ‘FaceTimed’ @arrahman & had a cute chat with him while he was in London recording the score for the film ‘2.0’ @2Point0movie !! He even showed her his studio!! Adorable!”

Far from being upset, Rahman replied on the microblogging site saying how Medina’s FaceTime call had lifted his morale. He wrote, “Dear Adnan ..her Facetime call fixed my grumpy mood ..thanks Medina ..May the Almighty reward you Generously.”

This Twitter encounter left Rahman’s fans utterly impressed as one fan wrote, “This is so vibrantly beautiful – Godly for sure. Respect Rahman Sir. You are not only a genius but also one of the most beautiful creations of the Almighty Lord.” Another fan wrote, “Wow! You are amazing!”

Hours later, Rahman said he was now leaving for Chennai. He wrote, “Done ….Off to Chennai soon!”

Medina was born to Adnan and his model wife Roya in May last year. The couple had later met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek his blessings.

2.0 will have Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth in lead roles while the music has been composed by Rahman. The film is believed to have been made at a whopping budget of Rs 500 crore.

Talking about the film, Rahman had recently said that the climax scene of the film was simply ‘incredible.’
