No reaction from Saif Ali Khan but Amrita Singh makes heartfelt plea for daughter Sara Ali Khan ahead of Kedarnath’s release

Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, trended excessively on Tuesday as the trailer for her debut film Kedarnath was out. Her fans were left stunned by the performance of the third generation of Pataudi in the film.

Although, Saif, who was instrumental in saving the film for his daughter, has not reacted on the trailer, his first wife and Sara’s mother, Amrita Singh, has shared her thoughts. Speaking to an entertainment website, Amrita made a desperate plea asking fans to pray for ‘my kid.’

She told Pinkvilla, “Just pray for my kid. I think she is very beautiful. I have seen the teaser.” She added, “I have just told her to work hard, give your best shot, work with your head down and stay grounded.”

With Kedarnath trailer out, it became clear that Sara will now be making her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s film also starring Sushant Singh Rajput. Due to the uncertainty looming over Kedarnath’s shooting schedule, Sara had gone on to sign her second film Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. This had irked Kapoor, who sued Sara for Rs 5 crore. It had taken Saif’s prompt intervention to resolve the issue amicably.

Later, it emerged that Kedarnath may not be able to release on schedule, thereby giving rise to speculations that Simmba may become Sara’s debut film. But when the first poster of Kedarnath was out on Monday, it became clear that Sara was all set to make her mark in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor’s film, which hits cinemas on 7 December. Simmba, on the other hand, will release on 28 December.

The Kedarnath teaser appears to brilliantly capture the devastation caused by the natural calamity in Kedarnath in 2013. In one scene, Sara is seen intensely lip-locked with Sushant, her helper, while in several other scenes, the lead male protagonist is seen rescuing her from nature’s fury.
