Cricketer Wriddhiman Saha has exposed a ‘respected’ journalist for issuing him threats on WhatsApp as he shared several screenshots of his chat. This was after he publicly exposed BCCI President Sourav Ganguly. It didn’t take long for netizens to arrive at a conclusion on the identity of the journalist given his proximity to Sourav Ganguly.
Taking to Twitter, Saha wrote, “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone.”
In the WhatsApp chat in question, the ‘respected’ journalist was seen writing to the cricketer, “Do an interview with me. Will be good. If you want to be democratic, then I won’t push.”
The so-called journalist continued, “They choose one wicket-keeper. Whoever is the best. You try to choose 11 journalists which is not the best. Choose whoever can help the most.(sic)”
According to the chat shared by Saha, the ‘journalist’ in question was also seen trying to call the cricketer, who did not speak to him. This appeared to have irked the ‘respected journalist’ as he threatened to never interview him again. He wrote, “You did not call. Never again will I interview you. I don’t take insults kindly. And I will remember this.”
He concluded, “This wasn’t something you should have done.”

This was after furious cricket fans took to social media to slam Sourav Ganguly as Wriddhiman Saha became the second player after Virat Kohli to expose the BCCI President. Saha had told media that Ganguly reneged on his promise after assuring him of a place in the Test squad. He had also accused Team India Head Coach of advising him to consider a retirement.
