Actor Sushant Singh makes desperate plea for sister, diagnosed with CIDP

Actor Sushant Singh has made a desperate plea for help for his sister Sofia, who has been diagnosed with the neurological disorder, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, also known as CIDP.

Sushant, who is famous for presenting the crime thriller show Savdhaan India on TV, took to Twitter to seek help for his sister. The popular actor wrote, “This is an appeal friends. My younger Sister Sofiya has been diagnosed with CIDP. An auto-immune disorder, the only treatment of Steroids and Immuno-suppressants isn’t working. Trying to find any new breakthrough, please RT and help us reach out to the right people.”

His post viral in no time with many pointing the popular actor in the right direction. The post has been shared close to 10,000 times while it received nearly 8,000 likes. One user, Mahesh Bailakanavar, wrote, “Hey Sushant a friend from my running club was diagnosed with CIDP a few years back and he has been cured of it to an extent. You can check his blog …http://whatyourdonotknowbecauseyouarenotme.blogspot.com/ . You can reach out to him via facebook. I have already messaged him and will share his number ASAP.”

A grateful Sushnat quickly thanked the user for his information, which may become quite useful in getting the right treatment for his sister.

Sushant made his Bollywood debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya in 1998. Since then, the 45-year-old actor has also acted in several other films including Josh, 16 December, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Darna Mana Hai, Shikhar, Paathshaala, Hate Story 2, Baby and Lipstick Under My Burkha.
