Microsoft has said it will stop producing Windows versions of the operating system after Windows 10.
This was announced by a senior company executive during Microsoft`s ignite conference in Chicago last week.
In his speech, Jerry Nixon, Microsoft`s development executive, said that Windows 10 would be the last version of the operating system.
A report carried by Britain`s BBC quoted Microsoft as saying that “Mr Nixon`s comments reflected a change in the way that it made its software. Windows will be delivered as a service bringing new innovations and updates in an ongoing manner.”
Technology experts feel that with this announcement it`s clear that there will be no Windows 11. They are, however, not sure as to what the operating system beyond Windows 10 will be called.
