Archana Puran Singh of The Kapil Sharma Show is known for her boisterous laughter with the veteran Bollywood actor becoming an integral part of Sony TV’s comedy show. However, the popular co-star of Krushna Abhishek and Kapil Sharma on Thursday broke down in public as she amassed one million followers on Instagram. Unable to hold her tears, a visibly apologetic Archana told her fans that she had promised to not cry but she did, adding ‘I’m an idiot.’
In a video thanking her fans for completing one million followers on Instagram, Archana said, “Hi guys, one million and a big thank you. Thank you is too small a word. This’s been quite a journey.”
Archana said that when she made her debut in Bollywood 40 years ago as an actor, she had felt a sense of satisfaction. “At that time I had thought that this journey alone is good enough for me. But, I embarked on a new journey during this lockdown.”
Archana’s home video became a rage of sorts during the nationwide lockdown to fight the spread of coronavirus. Since then, her number of followers on Instagram has sky-rocketed, reaching the half a million mark in April this year.
Archana told her fans, “I have to thank you. Whatever I shared with you during the lockdown, it helped me to get through the lockdown.”
As she addressed her fans, Archana’s voice began to choke. She said, “I always get emotional. This time I had said I wouldn’t get emotional.” However, as she reached the end of video to thank her fans once again, she could not hold her emotions. She said, “I said I won’t cry, but I did. I’m an idiot.”

Last week, Archana Puran Singh was left red-faced by her co-star Kapil Sharma, who ‘exposed’ the veteran actor in front of Bollywood veteran Govinda for prolonging the conversation to create more content for her Instagram video.
