Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan has said that history will not remember today’s media platforms kindly with the exception of a very few for their biased reporting.
Taking a dig at today’s compromised media outlets and their biased editorial agenda, Razdan said , “One thing is certain. When we look back on this chapter of history, some years from now, its not one that the media (barring a select few) is going to be proud of, or use as an example of it’s exemplary independent unbiased reporting.”

This is not the first time that Razdan has lashed out at Indian media outlets for their questionable editorial agenda. Reacting to a tweet by producer Vinta Nanda in January this year on falling standards of journalism in India, Razdan had said the news consuming public had already deserted channels such as Times Now and many others that encouraged a who-can-shout-the-loudest contest in their TV studios.
In March this year, she had once again targeted the Indian media, particularly TV channels in the wake of their controversial coverage on the Indian Air Force officer, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. Reacting to a tweet by Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV, which had termed the Pakistani government’s decision to release Wing Commander Abhinandan as ‘TITANIC WIN FOR INDIA,’ Razdan had simply said, “Idiots.”
News outlets such as Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV, Zee News, Times Now, Rajat Sharma’s India TV and many others have often been held responsible for destroying media ethics in their desperation to support the ruling BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
