Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh also starring Kiara Advani hit cinemas on Friday amidst ‘powerful’ reviews from fans and critics. But the most profound word of encouragement came from the actor’s wife Mira Rajput, who wished him success using a couplet.
Mira wrote, “Aa zamane aazmaale rooth ta nahi. Faaslon se hausla ye toot’ta nahi (Oh World, come and test me, I am not going to feel bad. My courage is not going to break because of the distance).” Mira concluded her post by stating just how proud she was of her husband adding that it was his time to shine. She wrote, “So proud of you baby. It’s your time to shine.”
In a separate post, Mira also shared a photo of Shahid with his co-star Kiara Advani. Kabir Singh has several steamy scenes between Shahid and Kiara.
Kiara responded to Mira’s post by posting a series of heart emojis.
Kabir Singh, which is a Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy, received incredibly positive reviews from Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who described the film as ‘powerful.’ He wrote, “Not the typical romantic saga. Unconventional, but powerful. Shahid is an outstanding, career-best act. Kiara is lovely. Director Sandeep is an incredible storyteller. Overstretched runtime is a deterrent.”

However, not all critics were generous as some described the film ‘beyond redemption’ and ‘one of the most horrific, harrowing, horrendous odes to misogyny and patriarchy ever created by Indian cinema in any language.’
