Kangana Ranaut has sensationally revealed that famous filmmaker and former Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani had once asked her to wear a satin sari without undergarments that made her feel like being a part of soft a porn film.

She was asked if her parents thought of the entertainment industry as a place where people became porn stars. Kangana said, “Yes, and that’s something very commonly that happens…I almost fell into that trap. Everything that was warned against happened to me.”

Reminiscing a photo shoot by Pahlaj Nihalani, Kangana said that the former CBFC chairman had asked her to wear a transparent satin sari without any undergarments. She said, “Pahlaj Nihalani had offered me a film called I Love You Boss or something and they had a photo shoot. They gave me a robe to wear and they didn’t give me any undergarments. They said ‘you can’t wear any undergarments.’ There was this robe and I had to stick my leg out. It was a satin robe and I was like they should give us some tape or something.”

She said that it was a ‘show girl pose’ that she had to enact in that photo shoot. “You know the girl is coming out the darkness, fully naked. The theme of the film was something about I am like a small kid, who’s lusting over her middle-aged boss. So it was a soft-porn sort of character.”

She, however, said that it didn’t feel that bad after the shoot but felt that this ‘is exactly what my parents were talking about.’ Kangana also revealed that she had exposed herself to ‘all sorts of dangers’ and she had to ‘pay a heavy price’ for that reckless behaviour. She, however, did not blame anyone for those situations.

She said, “I think I have been in places where I have pushed the limit. Like, I have been through dark and destructive phases! Being a teenager, I would get into strange situations that would lead to drastic circumstances—having exposed myself to dangers, and paid a heavy price. And that was because of something more destructive within me, than someone taking advantage of a damsel-in-distress. Fortunately or unfortunately, I’ve never been that person. At 15, I could tell my father that I don’t need to take shit from him. That way, I have been straightforward.”

Kangana also hit out at Ranbir Kapoor accusing him of being disconnected with the rest of India because of their privileged status. She said that this was the kind ‘of attitude that Karan Johar and gang thrive on.’

She also took a swipe at Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for being called ‘Gen-Next’ adding that how could they be members of ‘Gen-Next’ despite being in their 30s. “And what is this thing of calling them young. Ranbir Kapoor is 37. And he is the young kid of the generation. My father was a middle-aged man in that time. And Alia Bhatt just turned around and said she is only 27. At 27, I was writing dialogues for Queen… My mother had three children at 27.”

Kangana was last seen in Manikarnika, which was based on the life of the queen of Jhansi.
