IAS topper Tina Dabi Khan has mastered the art of using her social media pages to communicate with her fans and people who matter to her. Time and again, she’s taken to Instagram to share her escapades both in her personal and professional life. She’s also used her Instagram account, where she has more than three lakh followers, in the past to wish her fans Eid greetings.
Tina, who’s married to fellow IAS topper from Kashmir Athar Aamir Khan, had traveled to the valley to be with her in-laws for this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in June. But she was unusually quiet during Eid-al-Adha, which was marked by Muslims across India on 12 August. Incidentally, Kashmir experienced an unprecedented lockdown during the Eid-al-Adha celebrations after the central government abolished Article 370. The valley has become a no-go area for tourists with the government suspending internet and phone services.
On the eve of the last Eid, Tina took to Instagram to share a small video of her dining out. The IAS topper from Delhi, currently posted in Bhilwara, also informed her fans that she was currently reading Shunmayo Masuno’s Zen The Art of Simple Living.’ Tina also shared a passage of the book, which deals with a question such as ‘why do we take pleasure in delicious things?”
The subsequent line of the page shared by Tina had the answer as it said, “Because the life in us savours that which has been cultivated by the life in another.” This gave a spiritual side of the IAS topper.
Tina also shared a small video of her night out with family members including her IAS topper husband Athar Aamir Khan. In the video, Tina could be seen dining out with Athar and other family members. Although she did not identify her family members in the video, a group of people could be seen sitting inside what looked like a restaurant along with Tina and Athar, who hails from Kashmir.
As for the book that Tina is currently reading, the page shared by the 25-year-old civil servant from Delhi had quite a moving message. It said, “All our food passes through the hands of a hundred people before it reaches us. By adopting this mindset as you take your meals, perhaps you will become aware of how fortunate you are.”
Meanwhile, it appears that Tina has also updated the bio of her Twitter account with motivational poetry by renowned poet Majrooh Sultanpuri. This is how it went, “main akela hi chala tha janib-e-manzil magar, log saath aate gae aur karvan banta gaya. (I set off towards my destination alone, people kept joining me and suddenly it turned into a huge caravan.)”
Earlier this month, Tina had surprisingly stopped her fans from commenting on a photo, where she was seen blowing a kiss.
Both Tina and her husband are currently posted in Bhilwara as SDMs.
