Philippines and Norway Ambassadors Killed in Helicopter Crash

The ambassadors of Philippines and Norway were killed in a helicopter crash on their way to Pakistan on Friday.
The ambassadors were travelling along with their wives when the plane crashed in a Northern Pakistan school. 11 foreigners and six Pakistanis were on board in MI-17 which crashed into school in Gilgit and caught fire.

Pakistan Taliban said they were behind crash of military helicopter which killed Norwegian and Philippine envoys. But the Asim Bajwa, Pakistan`s army spokesperson tweeted this, “Two pilots and two-three foreigners fatalities. Thirteen survivors with varying degree of injuries.”

“It was a diplomatic trip with members of 37 countries in total,” said a passenger in one of the helicopters on conditions of anonymity to news agency.
“We have been told to send in as many ambulances as we can because the situation there is `urgent`,” said senior official to news agency.
