British Health Secretary Sajid Javid tests positive for coronavirus

British Health Secretary Sajid Javid has tested positive for coronavirus despite the United Kingdom imposing a ban on travel on dozens of countries from around the world.

Javid took to Twitter to write, “This morning I tested positive for Covid. I’m waiting for my PCR result, but thankfully I have had my jabs and symptoms are mild. Please make sure you come forward for your vaccine if you haven’t already.”

Javid was appointed the new health secretary after Matt Hancock was forced to resign in the wake of a kissing scandal involving his aide.

Javid, who has received both doses of vaccines, said that he was awaiting the final PCR test report.
