The world’s leading business magazine Forbes has named German Chancellor Angela Merkel as the world’s most powerful woman for the fifth year running. Merkel is followed by United States presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and philanthropist Melinda Gates.
According to a release, Forbes applied four metrics to determine its list: money, media, impact and spheres of influence.
Among the others who made it to the list are General Motors CEO Mary Barra, entertainer-philanthropist Taylor Swift, PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi , Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Fox Television Group CEO Dana Walden and South Korean President Park Geun-hye, among others.
