Ghuggi’s resignation a result of moral degradation in AAP: Akali Dal

“Ghuggi is right in pointing out that Kejriwal could have given Mann three months to reform himself and cure himself of his drinking habits. His resignation is a direct result of the moral degradation of the AAP,” he said.

The SAD MP, in a statement here, said, “Ghuggi is right in pointing out that a drunkard should not have been appointed to the newly created post of state president which replaces the nomenclature state convener as ‘a leopard cannot change its spots'”.

“Kejriwal should tell the Punjabis why he has imposed a confirmed drunkard on them. Earlier you imposed a team of outsiders… who were accused of selling party tickets and indulging in acts of moral turpitude,” Dhindsa said.

“Now, when there were a number of candidates available for appointment as the AAP’s state chief, you have decided to appoint a drunkard who has even been caught in an inebriated condition in front of a religious book,” he said.

Asserting that he can understand the “frustration” of AAP leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira who has quit all party posts after Mann’s appointment and the anguish of Kanwar Sandhu, Dhindsa said the decision to appoint Mann as the state chief of AAP is in league with other “dictatorial decisions” of Kejriwal.

He said the dangerous politics being played by Kejriwal in Punjab has also been exposed by Ghuggi.
