Union Minister for Communications and Information technology Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday riled out any association of Bhartiya Janata Party with Janata Dal (United) and Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar.
Addressing a press conference, Prasad was reported saying, “Any alliance with Nitish Kumar is totally ruled out. The door is totally locked.” He further took a dig at Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav for trying to form an alliance against BJP by calling the’ defeated leaders’, “”These two defeated, desperate leaders are just trying to cobble together an alliance. There are a lot of contradictions whether the alliance is strong or weak or whether it is a merger or an alliance.”
Affirmative that BJP would stand victorious in Bihar, he told reporters, “Alliance or no alliance in Janata Parivar, people will vote for us.”
With the much-awaited Bihar elections coming in September, talks over Samajwadi Party, JD(U), Rashtriya Janata Dal and three others of the ‘Janata Parivar’ forming an alliance against BJP have surfaced. However, nothing substantial had been decided yet due to differences over seat-sharing.
