An SUV owned by the son of former Karnataka chief minister, BS Yedyurappa, has killed a man in Karnataka, triggering a new controversy in the election-bound state.
BY Raghavendra, who’s also a BJP MLA, was in the car even though it’s not clear if he was driving the vehicle himself. The MLA claimed that he was not driving the car. 24-year-old Suresh, who was reportedly trying to cross the road in, died instantly.
The police has arrested Raghavendra’s driver, Ravichandran, and charged him for fatal rash driving. Raghavendra has promised to offer monetary compensation to the deceased’s family.
The cops said that prima facie ‘this looks like an accident.’
